IcoFX Alternatives: How I Make Windows Icons Without a Cracked Editor

Short answer: you do not need a cracked copy of IcoFX to make good Windows or Mac icons. IcoFX has a paid license and a trial, and if you would rather not pay, GIMP plus a free online ICO converter does everything most people need.
