So last night i was trying to copy my movies collection to a different drive and my lappy was literally choking with slow file copy speed. This lead to me to google for any alternate solutions and that’s when i came across freeware called Teracopy. Windows on default file copy operation uses very poor file buffer size which makes it such a pain. Just  Download  & install teracopy and forget about it. It automatically windows file copy operations to increase your speeds. In case you want to switch back to your default windows speeds, you need to open the teracopy program and uncheck  Use TeraCopy as a default copy handler from Menu>Preferences.
